Saturday brought the 2026 Seixal Ladies Open to the edge of its final act. The doubles title was decided, the singles semi-finals were completed and the Sunday programme is now beautifully simple: one court, one match, one champion to crown.
Carol Young Suh Lee continued her composed run through the draw with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Francisca Jorge. The Portuguese challenge had carried real weight deep into the week, and Jorge’s semi-final run gave the home crowd one of the clearest stories of the tournament.
Lee and Gao book the singles final
Lee’s victory moved the sixth seed into the final, where she will face Xinyu Gao. Gao came through the second semi-final against Han Shi, winning 7-5, 6-3 to complete the Sunday title match.
The final is scheduled for Sunday 12 July at 11:00 on Court 1, with Lee and Gao now the last two players standing in the singles draw.
Doubles title decided
The doubles final also brought a decisive result. Andre Lukosiute and Elyse Tse defeated Maria Garcia and Milana Ivantsiv 6-2, 7-5, closing a strong week with the title.
For Garcia and Ivantsiv, the final still gave the closing weekend a strong Portuguese connection, while Lukosiute and Tse finished the event with the sharpest response when the trophy was on the line.
